Frequently Asked Questions

  • If your child is struggling with schoolwork, avoiding homework, or losing confidence, tutoring can help. We begin with a formal assessment in reading or math to identify any academic gaps. This assessment becomes the foundation for your child’s individualized learning plan.

  • Students with dyslexia benefit most from a structured, research-based approach to reading. Our instruction is systematic, personalized, and designed to build strong foundational skills, confidence, and long-term success.

  • Your child’s assessment and learning plan help guide their progress. We typically recommend:

    • 1x/week for maintenance

    • 2x/week for steady progress

    • 3–4x/week for focused growth

On average, students attending twice weekly show about one year of reading growth in 30

lessons. More frequent sessions can accelerate progress, especially during focused periods like

    summer.
